Advanced Sorting

bulkU Pro's Advanced Sorting features allow you to organize and analyze your URL lists in powerful new ways. Go beyond simple alphabetical sorting to gain deeper insights from your data.

Pro feature: Advanced Sorting is exclusively available to bulkU Pro users.

Sort by Domain

This feature groups all URLs from the same domain together, making it easy to see all pages from a specific website.

How to Use

1

Load Your URLs

Add a list of URLs from various domains into a group.

2

Select "Sort by Domain"

In the "Sort & Transform" section, click the "Sort by Domain" button.

3

View the Result

Your list will be instantly reordered, with all URLs from `domain-a.com` appearing first, followed by `domain-b.com`, and so on.

Use Cases

  • Competitor Analysis: See all the pages you've collected from a specific competitor in one block.
  • Backlink Audits: Group referring domains together to assess the quality of links from each site.
  • Content Curation: Organize saved articles by their source publication.

Sort by Length

Sort URLs by the number of characters, from shortest to longest. This can help identify patterns or potential issues with URL structure.

How to Use

1

Click "Sort by Length"

In the "Sort & Transform" section, click the "Sort by Length" button.

2

Analyze the Sorted List

The list will be reordered with the shortest URLs at the top. This often brings homepages and main category pages to the forefront.

Use Cases

  • Identify URL Structure Issues: Very long URLs can be problematic for SEO and user experience. This sort makes them easy to spot.
  • Find Core Pages: The shortest URLs are often the most important (e.g., homepage, main sections).
  • Parameter Analysis: Long URLs with many parameters are pushed to the bottom, making them easy to find and analyze.

Group by Domain (Visual Grouping)

While "Sort by Domain" reorders the list, "Group by Domain" adds visual separators between domains without changing the original order within each domain's block.

How to Use

1

Click "Group by Domain"

This option is often combined with "Sort by Domain". First sort, then click "Group by Domain".

2

See Visual Separators

The list will now have clear headings for each domain, making it much easier to read and navigate.
